What the game is about
A young plunderer called Sophia goes to an island she was warned about, looking for a treasure other people are also chasing, and finds that the myth on it is not a myth. It runs 14 chapters, it is single-player, and Steam files it under Action and Adventure.

Where and when
Crete, fifteen years before the events of A Plague Tale: Requiem. That places it first in the series chronologically and last in release order, and it is why it follows Sophia instead of Amicia and Hugo — this is a different corner of the same world, not the next chapter of theirs.
How it fits with the other two →The two halves
The game swaps eras rather than telling one story and then the other. What you do in the ancient half changes the ground you are standing on in the medieval one.
The Middle Ages
A plunderer on the run, determined to uncover the secrets of her past. The store entry describes her as a skilled, agile fighter who engages in dynamic and violent melee combat.
Minoan Crete
The ancient side of the island, where a stolen Minoan sphere bends light to open the way. What happens here shapes the fight you are in back in the present.
The thing on the island
The premise is explicit that something is hunting you through the island’s depths, and that it appears to know where you are. The series’ usual monster is a swarm; this one is singular, and the myth it comes from names it.
