Collectibles / 100%

How to 100% it

The short version: do not try. Play the story, finish it, then let the game tell you what you missed. A player who completed everything calls it straightforward, and the reason is a chapter select screen that does the bookkeeping for you.

  1. 1

Play the story and stop searching

Nothing is lost by moving on, and the first run is the only time the game is new. Sweeping rooms now buys you nothing you cannot buy later in less time.

  2. 2

Finish it, which unlocks chapter select

This is the mechanism the whole plan rests on. It lists your missing collectibles and which chapter each one belongs to.

  3. 3

Work the list, not the map

Because the game names the chapter, the clean-up is a set of short targeted visits rather than a second playthrough. Progress is stored outside the chapter save, so nothing you re-enter undoes anything.

  4. 4

Turn the difficulty down if combat is in the way

The options go far enough that damage stops being a constraint, and no achievement is gated behind a higher setting. There is no reason to fight the fights twice.

A review recorded after completing everything — rare, and the closest thing to a report from inside the small group that finishes the collections.

And yet

None of that is hard. 6.2% of owners have the achievement for clearing every chapter, let alone the collections. The gap between how easy this is and how few people do it is the thing this site exists to measure — the funnel is here.
